Hatha Yoga In this class postures are practiced to stretch, align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body. You can expect simplicity and ease of movement. Suitable for beginners and ongoing students.
Mindfulness Yoga When we approach yoga from a place of mindfulness, we are able to connect with our own personal truth. This class will introduce the student to the basic philosophy of yoga and will include asana (yoga postures), basic pranayama (breathing), meditation and relaxation. Instruction will be given for both beginner and advanced students and all students are encouraged to work at an appropriate level.
Gentle Somatic Yoga Gentle Somatic Yoga incorporates slow, mindful movements that heal long held, tension based psychosomatic patterns and/injuries. Therapeutic and corrective exercises called Somatic Movement Flows erase chronic muscle pain and significantly increase flexibility through using the healing power of awareness. GSY is revolutionary in it’s ability to improve overall health, well-being, and personal performance.
Slow Flow Hatha In this class we will move gently with our breath as well as holding postures to stretch, align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body. You can expect simplicity and ease of movement. Suitable for beginners and ongoing students.
Pilates Fit In this all levels class you will strengthen your core and spine while toning your entire body. We will use the barre and small props. You will finish off with gentle stretching. Modifications will be offered.
Yogilates Enjoy the benefits of both yoga and pilates! In this fun and challenging class you will strengthen your core, improve your balance and increase flexibility. You are encouraged to work at your own level. Modifications and props will be offered.
Barre Bootcamp This class is an exciting, fun workout that fuses techniques from dance, pilates and traditional fitness classes to tone and strengthen the whole body. Barre Bootcamp is the perfect combination of strength and flexibility with an added cardiovascular element utilizing the barre.
Barre Yoga A barre inspired yoga class where we will focus on our breath and strength to create long, lean muscles. Modifications and props will be offered. This is an all levels class.
YIN Yin yoga is a passive form of yoga that involves holding postures for longer periods of time (3-5 minutes) in order to bring benefit to muscles, joints, organs and tendons. Yin is receptive, surrendering and non-defensive. Neither better nor worse than Yang (active) yoga, the intention is to empower people to have a relationship with what’s going on inside themselves while bringing health and healing to their physical selves.
